ITINERARY

 

Day 1 …/LIMA - Arrival to Lima. Reception and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2 LIMA

Buffet breakfast. Visit Lima and its main colonial sites, includes lunch, at Taberna Peruana (Peruvian Tabern, visit the bohemian district of Barranco

Day 3 LIMA/CUSCO/URUBAMBA

Buffet breakfast. / Transfer to the airport. Departure flight to Cusco. Reception and transfer to the hotel in Urubamba. Visit to the village of Pisac in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Check in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 4 URUBAMBA/CHINCHERO/MARAS/MORAY/URUBAMBA

Buffet breakfast/ Visit the village of Chinchero, visit Maras (salt mines of the Inca period still in use) and Moray (an experimental agricultural center from the same period). Lunch in Urubamba, exhibition of Peruvian Paso Horses and "Marinera" (typical dance).

DAY 5 URUBAMBA/OLLANTAYTAMBO/MACHU PICCHU

Buffet breakfast/Visit the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo, train trip and bus ride to Machu Picchu. Buffet lunch at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, tour through the ruins. Dinner and overnight at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge or at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel

DAY 6 MACHU PICCHU/OLLANTAYTAMBO/CUSCO

Buffet breakfast/Visit the ancient citadel (on your own), afternoon return to Ollantaytambo by train and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.

DAY 7 CUSCO

Buffet breakfast/Tour of the city including local market, the ruins of Puka Pukara, Kenko, Tampu Machay, Sacsayhuaman. Lunch at Limo Restaurant.

DAY 8 CUSCO

Buffet breakfast/Day at leisure

DAY 9 CUSCO/…

Buffet breakfast/Transfer to the airport. Departure flight to your next destination.
